Workshop on Afghanistan

Sarah Fane form Afghan Connection came to talk to us about our twin school in Afghanistan. We watched videos and asked many questions about Afghanistan and how people live there. We tried on Afghan clothes and discussed the life of 2 girls and 2 boys who live there. Creation of an Arbour Vale Song

Slough Learning Disabilities Partnership Board Annual Stakeholder Event

A group of P16 students attended the Slough Learning Disabilities Partnership Board Annual Stakeholder Event. The students took part in workshops on transition and valuing people. The students were invited to play drums with a group of musicians. They also performed 3 dances on stage in front of many people from the local area. It was great to be on a big stage again!! Health Achievement Awards

Health Achievement Awards We are very pleased to announce that the school came second at the Health Achievement Awards organised by the East Berkshire Primary Care Trust, winning a big trophy and the sum of £2000 to spend on health related projects! This was a whole team effort as each year group contributed by filling in surveys, making displays and taking part in Healthy Living assemblies. Slough Museum Exhibition Students from every Department were involved in an Art Exhibition at the Slough Museum. They produced presentations on different aspects of Afghan and English life, drawings and pottery work. After spending a whole week celebrating Art Week Arbour Vale School laid on an Art Exhibition. All parents were invited to have a look around at the work our students had done. The Mars Party!

This years Mars Party took place on December 9th. This is a Christmas Party for our primary aged pupils supported by the Mars factory in Slough. After a party lunch favourite games are played, which include musical chairs, pass the parcel and stations.
