A group of P16 students attended the Slough Learning Disabilities Partnership Board Annual Stakeholder Event. The students took part in workshops on transition and valuing people. The students were invited to play drums with a group of musicians. They also performed 3 dances on stage in front of many people from the local area. It was great to be on a big stage again!! On Thursday 19th November 2009 Arbour Vale School hosted the Berkshire Special schools annual Boccia tournament. The day was attended by Arbour Vale School, Holyport Manor School and Brookfields School. The event gave an opportunity for some of the new sports leaders at Arbour Vale to practice their leadership skills. Jeans for Genes is the national children's charity that holds Jeans for Genes Day. Wear your jeans, make a donation and help children with genetic disorders. Each Year Arbour Vale School participate in Jeans for Genes day, staff wear jeans and pupils wear there own clothes and everyone donates to the cause.
