Voice in a Million
Arbour Vale took part in Voice in a Million 2018
Our school choir of 33 pupils from primary, secondary and Post16 took part in VIAM on 15 March 2018 in the SSE Arena, Wembley to raise the awareness of adoption. It was a great experience, singing 12 popular songs as part of the choir alongside thousands of other children from age 7 to 21, from schools all over the country. All the pupils as well as the 12 members of staff and 4 parents who volunteer to support our pupils, thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the preparation and the evening. Alex Lynch, who created our school banner, participated in the banner parade with Natasha Lewis and Princess Hall, beaming with pride and confidence. The atmosphere was electric with our school doing a lot of dancing, and with William Clark, deciding that he was good enough to be one of dance leaders instead!
We were fortunate enough to be able to watch performances by top UK pop artists HRVY, and Road Trip, an up and coming boy band. They thrilled more than 6,000 fans with an explosive performance to a charged audience who sang and cheered to their songs.
The evening was filled with fun and breath-taking entertainment and everyone felt good to be a part of something so special. The impact it had is so far reaching especially for our pupils, it is truly inspirational. VIAM was truly a great spectacle!
